Privacy policy

The protection of your privacy when using our website is important to us. Please take note of the following information.

1) General information on the handling of personal data

You can visit our website without us collecting personal data from you. Personal data is only collected when you provide it voluntarily, for example to carry out a contract, to open a customer account or when you contact us. These data are used solely for processing the contract and handling your inquiries, unless you give explicit consent for any other use. After the contract has been fully completed, your data will be stored in accordance with tax and commercial retention periods. The data will be blocked for other uses and deleted after these periods unless you have explicitly consented to further use.

Personal data are also collected when you sign up for our email newsletter. These data are used for our own advertising purposes in the form of our email newsletter, provided that you have expressly agreed to receive it.

2. Transfer of personal data for order processing

2.1 The personal data we collect are passed on to the transport company responsible for the delivery, as far as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. Your payment details will be forwarded to the financial institution handling the payment.

2.2 When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or, if offered, “purchase on account” via PayPal, your payment data will be transferred to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L 2449 Luxembourg, for payment processing. For credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or “purchase on account” via PayPal, PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check. The result of this check, relating to the statistical probability of payment default, is used by PayPal to decide whether the chosen payment method will be made available. The credit report may include probability values called score values. These values are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical statistical procedure. Address data may be included in the calculation. Further information on data protection, including details on the credit agencies used, can be found in PayPal’s privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

2.3 If the goods are delivered by GLS (General Logistics Systems Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, GLS Germany Straße 1–7, 36286 Neuenstein), we will provide your email address to GLS before delivery so a delivery date can be arranged.

If this is not possible, we only provide the name of the recipient and the delivery address. In this case, scheduling a delivery date with GLS beforehand is not possible.

2.4 If the goods are delivered by DHL (Deutsche Post AG, Charles de Gaulle Straße 20, 53113 Bonn), we will provide your email address to DHL before delivery so a delivery date can be arranged, provided you have given your explicit consent.

Otherwise, we only pass on the name of the recipient and the delivery address to DHL. In this case, scheduling a delivery date with DHL beforehand is not possible.

The same applies to delivery by Österreichische Post AG

Haidingergasse 1, 1030 Wien, Österreich.

3) Cookies

To make your visit to our website pleasant and to enable certain functions, we use cookies on various pages. These are small text files stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after your browser session ends when you close your browser. These are called session cookies. Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our partner companies to recognize your browser on your next visit. These are called persistent cookies. You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies and choose individually whether to accept them. You can also exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.

4) Use of social plugins

4.1 Our website uses social plugins of the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the phrases “Social plugin from Facebook” or “Facebook Social Plugin”. An overview of Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

When you visit a page on our site that contains such a plugin, your browser creates a direct connection to Facebook servers. The plugin content is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this process, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page on our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not logged in. This information, including your IP address, is sent by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

When you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, such as clicking the like button or leaving a comment, this information is also sent directly to a Facebook server and stored. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and shown to your Facebook friends.

Details on the purpose and extent of data collection, further processing and use of the data by Facebook, and your rights and settings to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected during your visit to our website directly to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our site. You can also block Facebook plugins entirely with browser add-ons, for example “Facebook Blocker” (http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker/).

4.2 Our website also uses social plugins of the Google Plus network, operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The plugins are identifiable, for instance, by buttons with the “+1” symbol. An overview of Google plugins can be found here: https://developers.google.com/+/plugins

When you access a page on our site containing such a plugin, your browser connects directly to Google servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted from Google directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this process, Google receives the information that your browser accessed the corresponding page, even if you do not have a Google Plus profile or are not logged in. This information, including your IP address, is sent directly to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

When you are logged in to Google Plus, Google can assign your visit to your Google Plus profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the plus one button, this information is also sent directly to a Google server and stored. The information is also published on Google Plus and shown to your contacts.

Details on the purpose and extent of data collection and the further processing of data by Google, as well as your rights and privacy settings, can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/

If you do not want Google to assign the data collected during your visit to your Google Plus profile, you must log out of Google Plus before visiting our website. You can also block Google plugins entirely with browser add-ons, such as the script blocker “NoScript” (http://noscript.net/).

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies that allow an analysis of your website usage. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the site is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

If IP anonymization is activated, your IP address will be shortened beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information to evaluate your website use, compile reports on website activity and provide other services related to internet usage on behalf of the site operator.

Your browser’s IP address transmitted within Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. You can prevent cookie storage by adjusting your browser settings. If you do so, some website functions may not work fully. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie about your site usage, including your IP address, by downloading and installing a browser plugin from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

As an alternative to the browser plugin or within browsers on mobile devices, you can click the following link to set an opt out cookie that prevents data collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future. This opt out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

Deactivate Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics with the extension “anonymizeIp”, which ensures that IP addresses are processed only in shortened form and cannot be linked directly to a person.

If you have questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data or wish to request information, correction, blocking or deletion, or revoke any consent you have given, please contact us.
